Product FAQs

Governments world-wide are realising the vital importance of insulating homes and commercial property. Australia has had such regulations in place for over 20 years and recently the UK has implemented the HIPPS scheme and the UAE gave the construction industry just 60 days notice to comply to strict new Green Building compliance specifications commencing 1st January 2008.

In the UK home owners must ensure that their property maintains an insulation value known as the BTU rating. A system of financial penalties has been established to insure prompt implementation and properties can not be sold without this compliance certificate.

The Government has already sold and trained hundreds of Testing Licensees throughout the UK for this scheme of which shall be implemented by 2008.

1974
Quickwall technology started where there was a need to develop a range of colourful coatings for one of the most aggressive environments imaginable – the salt water swimming pool. Technology was extrapolated from the State Federal Highways committee USA where polymer modified cement were used to protect steel reinforced concrete roads and bridges from de-icing salts, traffic wear, expansion and contraction, water migration, carbon monoxide degradation and hot summers. The coatings developed from this technology by the Quickwall chemists were so effective that in the later seventies Manufacturing and Contracting advanced to Decorative and Protective wall coatings. These still remain in place some 30 years later without any sign of defect.
1980’s
In the mid eighties acrylic wall coatings were introduced due to market forces but it was decided to maintain the core business with more superior unique polymer modified cements. After all, cement has been around for some 2,000 years with an un-disputable proven track record. Late eighties research and development extended into a number of Building Systems, testing and supporting patents.
1992
Quickwall ceased contracting, commenced full time manufacturing and registered the Quickwall trade mark. Quickwall is now a leader in Polymer technology. Polymer modified cements clearly have an excellent failure-free track record in the coating industry. Quickwall is an accredited government supplier of decorative and protective architectural coating systems, polymer fibre reinforced cements, water-proofing composites, genuine membrane paints, ceiling, floor and wall finishes for both Exterior and Interior applications.
